One of the most important issues in risk management is "how many lots to put into position?". Before the trade, every trader is thinking about it. A risk calculator is needed for successful trading. In this article, we will look in detail at the description of the risk calculator settings in the CScalp terminal.
The calculator configuration
The CScalp team has added a risk calculator to the terminal specifically for traders. Risk calculation is only available for Binance perpetual futures. The calculator looks like this.
It consists of two buttons and three blocks. Let's look at each of these in turn.
1. "Basic data"block contains five fields for data input:
Deposit, $
Loss per day, $
Loss trades
Fee, $
Slippage, $
2. "Update entry price"button, when you click on the button, the "entry price" field will be updated, the average spread price of the active symbol will be loaded.
3. "Trade data"block contains two fields for data input:
Entry price - the price at which the trader enters the position
Stop price - the price where he closes the position, if the market goes against the position
4. "My risk management" block contains a calculation based on the entered data. The result is calculated instantaneously, immediately after the new data is entered, which allows the trader "on the fly" to obtain information in order not to exceed the risks of the transaction. The calculation takes place both in lots and in USDT.
5. "Assign to the traded amount" button is intended for instantaneous transfer of the result of calculation into active volume, in order to continue trading as quickly as possible from the accounting of all risks.
