How to connect CScalp to dYdX

Connecting CScalp to the dYdX Core Network
Create a cryptocurrency wallet
To trade on dYdX via CScalp, you need to connect a cryptocurrency wallet to the exchange, create API keys in the wallet and enter the keys in the terminal.
More than 100 cryptocurrency wallets work with dYdX, including MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet and others. The full list can be found on the official website of the exchange.
In the instructions, we will use MetaMask as an example.
Connect your cryptocurrency wallet to dYdX
Go to the official website of dYdX and click “Connect wallet“. Note that the main network (in the upper-left corner) must be selected on dYdX. Also in MetaMask, the Ethereum network must be selected.
Select MetaMask. In the next window, click “Send requests” to confirm the ownership of the wallet and enable trading. In the window that opens in MetaMask, click “Sign“.
When linking to the wallet, move the “Remember me” switcher to the active position so as not to pass the binding at each launch of the exchange. Ready! We connected our wallet to dYdX. Now let’s connect it to CScalp.
Create API keys in your cryptocurrency wallet
Open MetaMask and click on the pop-up menu icon. Then click “Account details“. The public key (ApiKey) is displayed. To get the secret key (ApiSecret), click “Export Private Key” and enter the password from MetaMask. Copy the keys to enter them into CScalp.
Do not transfer the secret key to strangers, the security of your wallet depends on it. The process of generating API keys in other wallets may differ.
Connect CScalp to a cryptocurrency wallet
Run CScalp, click “Settings” in the top menu and go to “Connections“. Then click on the gear next to “dYdX: Perpetual“. The connection settings open. In the ApiKey and ApiSecret fields, enter our public and private keys, respectively.
Then click on the connector icon. The dYdX connection area will turn green – the connection is configured!
To start trading, you need to transfer funds from a cryptocurrency wallet to a dYdX futures account. Translation instructions can be found here.
Add an order book and select ticker
Add the new order book after CScalp setting up will be done. In order to do this, click on the appropriate icon in the lower right corner.
Click on the order book area thereafter.
In the side menu of the opened window – select dYdX connection.
Then double click on the specified ticker from the list. It’s done! dYdX trading ticker selected!
