PLACING ORDERS VIA CSCALP

Date of update: 10.04.2023

In this article we will tell how to make the first trades via CScalp. We expect that you have already installed CScalp and have connected the platform where you are going to trade.

This article is for beginners. If you already have trading experience, we recommend you to look at the configuration video instead of the article.
In order to make the first trades, you should understand how the order book works and be able to use the mouse. It’s not difficult. Let’s try.

Try to understand "Order book"

When traders' orders reach the exchange, they are either executed (turned into transactions), or they will be executed (turned into trades) or queued. In the order book of CScalp, sellers are red, buyers are green. The smallest price of the visible part of the queue is at the bottom, the largest is at the top.

If the price rises, then green buyers come up. If it falls, then the red sellers move the price down. When a trade is executed, a "circle" appears. Take a look. You will quickly understand the order book.

Configure the traded amount

To start trading traders place orders. An order is a desire to buy or sell a certain amount of an instrument. After placing the order, it becomes visible to other traders.

Select the amount you want to trade. Until you master the terminal, we recommend using the minimum traded amount.

On Moscow Stock Exchange trading counts in lots. It is impossible to place a traded amount which is less than one lot. There is no such restriction on cryptocurrency exchanges. The traded amount can be 1, 0.1 or 0.001.

The traded amount on cryptocurrency exchanges is set as 0.000001, on other platforms as 1 by default. To change the traded amount, enter its value in the field.

Left click to buy, right click to sell

To start trading, you need to be able to use the mouse.

  • "Left mouse button" – buy.
  • "Right mouse button" – sell.
The order is placed at the price that we click on the order book. If there is an opposite bid at this price, then the trade immediately will be executed. If there is not a bid, then order will be placed in the queue.

For example, if you do the left-click on the price of 153 540, and right-click on the price of 153 620, then two orders will be placed in the order book. Two orders are waiting in the queue on the screen. One for selling, the other for buying. Both are waiting for the action.

If you click on the red cross next to the placed order, it will be canceled.

Let's practice

Try to place an order several times and remove it.

Then try to make a tradel and immediately close it using the opposite order. The loss will be small if you use a not really large traded amount.

Practice until you stop mixing the mouse keys.
