How to get KYC on OKX (OKEx)

Why KYC is needed

There are two levels of identity verification on the OKX exchange. Without completing KYC, restrictions are imposed on the user’s account. Read more about what KYC is and why identity verification is required here.

Below is a table of verification levels, requirements for their completing and restrictions.

How to get verified “Level 1”

1. Hover over the profile icon and select the item «Verification»

2. Select account type “Individual account” and click on “Continue“.

3. There will be a required information for KYC:

• Nationality (country);
• First, last and middle names;
• ID types;
• ID number (document data).

After completing all the fields, click “Submit“.

A message about successful completion of the 1st level of verification will appear. To complete KYC level 2, click on “Continue level 2 verification“.

How to complete KYC “Level 2”

1. It is necessary to complete KYC by providing photo/scans of documents and selfies. The verification can be done through a phone or computer (using a webcam). Choose a convenient way by clicking on the appropriate icon.

When you select verification via phone, a QR code will appear on the screen. Scan it and get a link to further verification. Verification on the phone is practically the same as verification through a computer.

2. Regardless of the verification method, you will be redirected to the identity verification page. Click “Start“.

3. Take a picture of the ID, according to the requirements specified in the window. The picture will be automatically uploaded to the verification system. Click “Confirm“.

4. Then we turn the document over and take a picture of the other side.

5. Take a selfie: put your face in a frame and follow the instructions on the screen. Click “Start“.

6. The face will be taken automatically. In case of successful verification by photo, you will be redirected to the page with the following message (see screenshot):

Done! OKX verification is completed. It remains to wait for the approving of personal data by the exchange.
