Why do scalpers need an order book?

Every day professional scalpers make a lot of deals: from 5 to more than 50 during the day. Deals on average last from several seconds to several minutes. Since the constant presence in front of a monitor is required, analyzing the market and taking quick decisions, scalping enables traders to have more control over the situation than long-term strategies and bring more profit.

Scalping is possible using a manual or automatic strategy and is also inextricably linked to the advanced use of the order book, without which it is virtually impossible in manual mode. It can be said that this is the main trader's tool. Analysis of orders placed in it helps to find the best points of entry and exit. In addition, scalpers can find the balance of aggregate supply and demand in the order book. Separate mention should be made of the search for trading inefficiencies, which are also searched in the order book.
But, such a useful tool has one significant disadvantage - order book trading is not possible in a browser. So scalpers have to use the trading terminals, which have this tool. And here is another problem: some terminals do not have proxies which improve the speed of order book updating.

What are proxies and why is it needed for Binance or other exchanges?

One of the most important things for active traders is a stable internet connection to the exchange. To profit from trading, you need to see the order book and submit requests and orders without delays. Unfortunately, this does not always happen.

To work as close to real time as possible - to gather information about the market and make trades in it - you can use proxy servers.

How proxies help high-speed trading

A proxy server is an intermediate between a trader's computer and a trade server. It can affect the signal path of the user, and thereby increase the speed of response of the order book and charts. Also, thanks to the proxy, the trader's requests and applications can get to the exchange faster.

This advantage of proxy servers is based on the ability to obtain a new signal path. Here is an example. Suppose a trader does not use a proxy and his signal path will be determined by the Internet service provider. The trader sends a request to the Binance exchange and his signal from Kiev first reaches Amsterdam and only then is sent to the server located in Tokyo. The path becomes longer, which means that the signal will take much longer to reach Binance. But when traders connect to the exchange using a proxy server, they can get a new path. It is possible that the new path will be shorter than the previous one, so the trader will get a better connection speed and therefore will gain time, profit from the deal and avoid losses.

Free proxy servers by CScalp

Since scalping involves very fast trading, CScalp has taken care to technically support fast connections to the exchange. CScalp has built-in proxy servers that users can use if they are unable to connect their own proxy server.
How to use a proxy server in CScalp
CScalp proxy servers are free to use and are already built into the terminal console. Alternatively, you can use your own personal proxy.

If something goes wrong when connecting to your personal proxy, one of the built-in CScalp proxies will be automatically enabled.

Our team has already tested internet connections with our proxies from various locations and identified the datacenters that can provide the best connection speeds.

You can read how to configure CScalp proxy servers here.
